Welcome to The Angel
In the heart of rural Wiltshire, minutes
from the ancient mounds and henges of Salisbury Plain, close to the spires of Salisbury &
Winchester, and an hour from beautiful Georgian Bath, lies The Angel at Hindon.
A beautifully-restored eighteenth century coaching inn, The Angel was
originally known as the Grosvenor Arms. Prior to its construction in
1750 a medieval inn, The Angel, existed on the site – with the
restoration of the building came the restoration of the name!
Offering many original features, wooden floors, beams, huge stone
fireplace, and comfy leather chairs, alongside our contemporary
and elegant restaurants, The Angel has a mood for everyone, whether
traditional or modern.
Enjoy eclectic and inspirational menus, produced from only the
finest local and seasonal ingredients and a refreshing and elegant
selection of fine wines from around the world.
Our service is attentive, friendly, personal and professional. So,
if you would like hand-pulled local real ale in genuine tradition
and a relaxed dining experience, please come and join us!

The
Angel was the most
fantastic place. Debbie and Darren made us feel so welcome. They
treated us so well. The
dinner was so special and
who else would cook you scrambled eggs and smoked salmon
for breakfast! It was wonderful.
Thank goodness we walked off some calories. The room was lovely, bed
comfortable. We couldn’t believe how well looked
after we were.
When we left they booked a taxi for us. Which never arrived. Darren
did no more than
left a crowded pub and took us to the train station. Staying there,
walking in stunning countryside with your best friend, laughing and
chatting all the way ....what bliss. Thank you so much x
